SeaWorld San Diego is open 365 days a year. For the safety of our guests, attractions occasionally close for improvements and scheduled maintenance.
Is SeaWorld San Diego Open during coronavirus?
SeaWorld San Diego returned to pretty much normal operations as of June 15, 2021. SeaWorld has no COVID-19 restrictions, except for wearing masks indoors (due to the State of California) and placing hand sanitizer around the park, and has ended restrictions for out-of-state visitors.

What is the best time to go to SeaWorld?
Late January to February is often the best time to visit SeaWorld since the cool weather and small crowd can help you enjoy the activities and attractions more. While SeaWorld Orlando may be your main stop, you can also add in a trip to Discovery Cove or Busch Gardens since you are already in the area.
Is reserved seating at SeaWorld San Diego worth it?
Yes! Especially on crowded days, which is almost every day. We went on a Monday and the crowd was relatively smaller, but didn’t have to rush and waste time holding good seats. Plus, the reserved sections guarantee a good view, which is crucial to getter my the best experience.
Is there still a Shamu show at SeaWorld San Diego?
Shamu shows have been presented at the following SeaWorld parks: SeaWorld San Diego in California. SeaWorld Ohio (closed in 2000) SeaWorld Orlando in Florida….Shamu shows throughout the years.

Can you swim with dolphins at SeaWorld?

Do you need vaccine to go to SeaWorld San Diego?
Will I have to show proof of vaccination upon entry? We will not require our guests to provide proof of vaccination. Consistent with CDC guidance, we recommend that our guests wear face coverings while indoors.
Can I bring a backpack to SeaWorld San Diego?
Backpacks are allowed, but they check them when you enter the park. “Bottles of water (one per person) and single-serve sized snacks (approx. 2oz or less) are allowed to be brought into the park.” We take in some crackers and water.
