AOII is a proud member of the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC), an umbrella organization for 26 inter/national womens fraternities and sororities. Founded in 1902, AOII joined in 1905 as the 12th member organization to support collaboration and interfraternal friendships.

As expressed in the Object of the Fraternity, Alpha Omicron Pi was founded on the ideals of character, dignity, scholarship, and college loyalty. Why is the AOII mascot a panda?
While not an official symbol, the Fraternity and our chapters consider the Panda to be AOII’s mascot. The panda represents AOII most notably when pandas are donated by AOIIs to children dealing with arthritis pain.
