Can G thread be used with NPT?
The G (BSP / BSPP) standard is used in Europe and around the world. Although the threads look incredibly similar, they are not compatible. The NPT (US Standard) thread is tapered with a 60 deg thread pitch and designed to seal when the threads compress together, with pipe tape to fill in any minor leak paths.
Does MIP work with NPT?
Yes, NPT (national pipe thread) has the same thread dimensions as an MIP (male iron pipe) and FIP (female iron pipe).
What does G stand for in pipe thread?
Two types of threads are distinguished: Parallel (straight) threads, British Standard Pipe Parallel thread (BSPP; originally also known as British Standard Pipe Fitting thread/BSPF and British Standard Pipe Mechanical thread/BSPM), which have a constant diameter; denoted by the letter G.
What is G1 pipe thread?

Is 1/2 inch BSP the same as 15mm?
Whilst most 15mm compression fittings are 1/2″ bsp, (some earlier ones had finer threads) the same cannot be said for 10mm and 8mm.

What is MIP adapter fitting?
An MIP fitting is one of two components in heavy-duty, threaded-piping connections. MIP typically stands for Male Iron Pipe (it might also refer to other building materials such as copper or steel). The other component is the FIP, which stands for Female Iron Pipe.
