To find out the best internal diameter you should measure from the piercing hole to the edge of your lip / ear / nose. The length measurement refers to the length of the jewelry bar. Not the length of the whole product. The length of the barbell is measured as the distance between the two balls at either end.

Is titanium or gold better for piercings?
Arguably, titanium is more biocompatible than gold. But, we aren’t implanting things inside your heart- its a body piercing. And most piercers are going to be using titanium posts anyway for the piece that actually passes through the piercing, so just the front or decorative end will be gold in many cases.
