Why was OFY started?
OFY’s founders started the program in 1987 to provide at-promise and underserved students an alternative to traditional learning methods and environments. OFY saw the potential that struggling students couldn’t see in themselves.

What is the lowest grade you can earn at OFY?
HOW DOES OFY’S GRADING SYSTEM WORK? OFY does not award grades below a C. Students who do not demonstrate subject mastery will receive additional coaching and support from their teacher and may choose to re-do their work as many times as necessary until, at least, a C grade standard has been achieved.
